In a perfect world, we would be surrounded by devoted Christians. But lets be real, that isn't always the case! But how do we deal with relationships when people are not as devoted to faith as you are?
The bible says not to be unequally yolked, which Im sure most of us know! But what about when its our parents, siblings, or children? When someone we love deeply doesn't believe the gospel, what should we do, is there hope?
The first step, as with anything as Christians is to pray. Pray that God lays a hand on your loved ones heart, and brings them to the truth.
And you may have someone who is a nonbeliever, but so did Jesus. Jesus had a brother who actually said "Jesus was out of his mind" (Mark 3:21) Is that crazy? The brother of our savior didn't believe in what Jesus was teaching!
" prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.’” (Mark 6:7) How heartbreaking for Jesus! If his own brother didn't believe, where is the hope that our loved ones will?
Well rejoice ladies! Jesus powered through, and continued to love his brother, and although it took many years, eventually we read him refer to Jesus as “our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory” (James 2:1)
I believe this is meant to share hope with us that our loved once may also believe that Jesus is "Our Lord Jesus Christ" We just have to continue to love them, and share the gospel with them. Keep them in your prayers, and maybe eventually they will some to the truth!
